I use a climbing rig on the job. I go up to high places when I work, and I use a harness and safety straps as I climb. It is not hard to slip on a climb. That is why you always have your harness locked in. When you do slip, it will arrest your fall. I stepped on a rung where the weld gave way on a climb. I only fell a couple of feet before the climbing harness stopped my fall. That was all it took for me to need to go to a chiropractor in Phoenix for some rehabilitative therapy on my back.
