Arrested Fall While Using a Climbing Harness

Arrested Fall While Using a Climbing Harness

I use a climbing rig on the job. I go up to high places when I work, and I use a harness and safety straps as I climb. It is not hard to slip on a climb. That is why you always have your harness locked in. When you do slip, it will arrest your fall. I stepped on a rung where the weld gave way on a climb. I only fell a couple of feet before the climbing harness stopped my fall. That was all it took for me to need to go to a chiropractor in Phoenix for some rehabilitative therapy on my back.

There wasn’t anything broken, and the MRI only revealed some minor tearing of my muscles. Read the rest of this entry

Lower Disc Pressure Means Less Back Pain

Lower Disc Pressure Means Less Back Pain

It took a visit to San Francisco chiropractors to discover the source of my chronic back pain. After getting a concrete answer and a treatment that greatly reduced the pain, I am actually angry with the doctors I visited to get a fix. They performed all sorts of expensive tests and gave me powerful narcotics I would have never needed if they’d just done their dang jobs and diagnosed the problem correctly. When they started talking about doing an exploratory surgery to try and discern the problem, I knew I needed to get out of there and trying something else.

The chiropractor I went to almost immediately knew what the problem would be after he heard me talk about the pain, when it got worse, and where it was located in my back. Read the rest of this entry

I Will Be Back at the Office Tomorrow

I Will Be Back at the Office Tomorrow

Of course that does not mean that I will be back at my office, which is on the third floor of a building which does not have an elevator. I have been working from home of course, but not all of the stuff can leave the office. We have a bunch of things which are too sensitive to be exposed to the internet, all stuff that involves our clients who might sue anyone that disclosed it. Today I went to see a Cumming chiropractor and he told me that I would not have to come back unless there was some sort of setback. Read the rest of this entry

A Solution to a Painful Tennis Elbow Issue

A Solution to a Painful Tennis Elbow Issue

It took a Concord chiropractor to help get me past a nasty case of tennis elbow. I’d actually had it before, many times back when I was young and playing tennis almost year round in Southern California, but I always shrugged it off because I was young and just taking a break for a few days usually cured the problem. It’s amazing what our bodies can get away with when we’re young. It’s too bad they can’t just inject instant youth and vitality into our old bodies so they could continue to just zip through any given injury.

Anyway, I’ve always kept up with my tennis game even as I passed through middle age. Injuries acquired in the last couple of decades always lead to an extended break from the game so I can heal up. Read the rest of this entry

I Found a New Place Today

I Found a New Place Today

I spent a couple of weeks making sure that I had found the best apartment that I could get for me. It was hard to find a place that I could afford before I lucked into a Beverly Hills chiropractor I knew that needed a place as well. He had hit the skids with his wife, which is not hard to believe now that I have lived with him for a bit. Obviously so long as he pays his half of the rent I am not going to complain too much, but the guy never seems to clean up after himself. Read the rest of this entry

Excellent Treatment for Fibromyalgia Sufferers

Excellent Treatment for Fibromyalgia Sufferers

I wish I could remember who told me to look into Salinas chiropractors in order to treat my fibromyalgia. All I can say is I owe that person a huge debt. I first started suffering from the condition about ten years ago, but it took many years to get an official diagnosis. The symptoms of the condition are so vague as to prove highly resistant to an effective diagnosis. For me it’s mostly been a lot of pain all around my body. I also get fatigued easily. I went through many doctors and many tests before getting my diagnosis.

I’m glad it’s not Lyme disease, but I’m also unhappy because this condition has no known cure. I could suffer from it for a few more years or the rest of my life. There’s no way of knowing how long it could last. Most of my pain is around my neck, but I’ll also have it in other places as well. Read the rest of this entry

A Win in More Way Than One

A Win in More Way Than One

A day at the carnival lead to me having an unexpected visit to a chiropractor in Santa Rosa. I was with a date and we were just walking around, going on various rides and playing the carnival games. We came to one of those old dunk tank games where you have to throw balls at a target to move a platform with a person sitting on it, causing the person to fall into a tank of water below. The winner gets a prize, and I wanted to win one for my date, so I played the game. I was given three balls to play the game, and I missed with the first two balls. On my third throw, I launched a ball right at the target and hit it dead center.

The platform moved and the person fell in the tank, but in the process, I twisted a back muscle. Read the rest of this entry

Getting the Masonry Work Done in Spite of Back Pain

Getting the Masonry Work Done in Spite of Back Pain

I was building an outdoor kitchen for us. Years ago I worked in the building trades, but have now had an office job for more than a decade. Every evening after work and part of the day on Saturdays I would work on that kitchen. After digging the footer for the masonry work by hand, I needed to get to a chiropractor in Santa Barbara for some relief from my back pain. I never take pills, and I had now taken more ibuprofen in a month than I have my entire life. I wanted to finish the work I started outside at our house, but I needed my back to cooperate with me.

The chiropractor adjusted my back and used the electrical stim to help heal the muscle issues. Heat therapy and massage at the doctor’s office also helped tremendously. Read the rest of this entry

Medical Marijuana Provides Relief for Cancer Patients

Medical Marijuana Provides Relief for Cancer Patients

My father was diagnosed with cancer three months ago and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. To say it has taken a toll on his body is an understatement. He has some days when the pain is absolutely unbearable for him. The medication the doctors prescribed for him don’t seem to be working on the pain. We heard about an alternate way to manage pain in cancer patients with medical marijuana. I decided to look into it to see if it is a viable option for him. I searched the internet for Marlton medical marijuana since New Jersey has legalized it.

My curiosity was piqued even more when I came across a website for a licensed medical marijuana clinic. Read the rest of this entry

I Am Ready to Play Tennis Again

I Am Ready to Play Tennis Again

I love to play tennis even though I am not very good at it. I am not trying to play at the Wimbledon games though. I just enjoy lobbing some balls around with a few of my friends. We started off doing it to get some exercise, but it quickly grew into a fun way for the four of us to get together and just have some fun. The last time I played was nearly a month ago, and I ended up having to see a chiropractor in San Leandro because of it.

It started out as a normal day. We met at the tennis courts in the park, and we played doubles for nearly an hour. It was right at the end, and I was trying to get a point to break the tie, when I overextended myself. I knew instantly that I pushed my body too far, and I felt it mostly in my side and lower back.
